“LIVING WATER” EXHIBITION at CAVALLO POINT GALLERY

“To those in the Bay Area, water is an integral part of our existence. We cross it to get elsewhere, pay to see it from our picture windows, appreciate its recreational prospects to sail, swim or fish. While others may not have the ocean in their front yard like Cavallo Point, their reliance on H2O is no less than ours: without it, there is no life as we know it. But nature’s way with water is capricious and temperamental, as those who’ve endured cloudbursts, floods and droughts can attest. With its many guises, water seems to have a spirit of its own – alternately calm, languid, petulant, dramatic, dangerous, beautiful.

Join us in the Cavallo Point Art Gallery for the ‘Living Water’ reception – three interpretations of water in motion by sculptor Pere Gifre, and photographers Jay Graham and Jamie McHugh. These water works are imbued with energy and power, and strikingly seductive in organic grace. Let your eyes take a drink.”
